Barbados…A Piece of Paradise, the Gem of the Caribbean.
Where to stay?
The unique choice of Barbados to host UNCTAD 15 was influenced by its salubrious climate, beautiful and uncrowded beaches, amenities, safety record and the charm of its people. Unfortunately, the COVID 19 pandemic prevented us from hosting an in-person conference. But as our destination gradually welcomes new flights which open our shores to eager visitors, we are delighted to share our range of hotels, attractions and activities which you can book when you ready to experience a vacation like no other.
Barbados is one of the most sought-after tourist destinations in the Caribbean and in the world, offering a diverse range of accommodation strategically located along the placid waters of the west and south coasts to the more active waters of the Atlantic Ocean on the east and south east coasts.
Visitors can choose from a variety of accommodation options which can meet everyone’s budget. Our product offer includes large hotels located on both the south and west coasts, high-end villas which can cater to 6-12 guests making it a very cost-effective option, Intimate hotels, chain-affiliated properties, apartments and apartment hotels, condominiums, and cottages. There is also an exclusive ‘home accommodation’ component.
Most hotels are full-service properties with quite a few of them offering all-inclusive packages which cover meals, watersports and other amenities.
The Intimate Hotels of Barbados is a membership-based organisation, with a collection of hotels, apartments, guest houses and condos that are locally owned and located mainly on the south coast. Many properties have swimming pools, offer free Wi-Fi, and full-service restaurants, and are near to nightlife, tranquil beaches, other independent restaurants or sporting venues. While some of these properties cannot be booked via their website, there is an efficient email request system which will guarantee a response within 24 hours.
