Accommodation and Hospitality

Barbados offers a wide range of visitor accommodation, from guest houses to villas and luxury hotels.

Barbados…A Piece of Paradise, the Gem of the Caribbean.

Where to stay?

The unique choice of Barbados to host UNCTAD 15 was influenced by its salubrious climate, beautiful and uncrowded beaches, amenities, safety and the charm of its people.

Barbados has become one of the most sought after tourist destinations in the Caribbean, offering a diverse range of accommodation strategically located along the placid waters of the west and south coasts to the more active waters of the Atlantic Ocean on the east and south east coasts.

Delegates can choose from a variety of accommodation options which can meet everyone’s budget. Our product offer includes large hotels located on both the south and west coasts, high-end villas which can cater to 6-12 guests making it a very cost-effective option, intimate hotels, chain-affiliated properties, apartments and apartment hotels, condominiums, and cottages. There is also an exclusive ‘home accommodation’ component.

Hilton Barbados is the flagship hotel for the conference. Dedicated transportation will be provided from the hotel to the Conference Centre and return daily.

Most hotels are full-service properties with quite a few of them offering all-inclusive packages which cover meals, watersports and other amenities.

The Intimate Hotels of Barbados is a membership-based organisation, with a collection of hotels, apartments, guest houses and condos that are locally owned and located mainly on the south coast.  Many properties have swimming pools, offer free Wi-Fi, and full-service restaurants, and are near to nightlife, tranquil beaches, other independent restaurants or sporting venues.  While some of these properties cannot be booked via their website, there is an efficient email request system which will guarantee a response within 24 hours.

Round-trip transportation will also be provided from most hotels or, where there are limited numbers, delegates may be required to walk a short distance to the nearest shuttle pick-up. Further details will be provided in due course.

Browse the website and select the property of your taste and budget. With a simple click, you can book the hotel of your choice for the conference at very competitively-priced rates. When you register for the conference, you will be given a booking code to enter on the accommodation site where you can get preferential delegate rates.

Considered ‘the culinary capital of the Caribbean’, Barbados showcases numerous stand-alone restaurants and bars with varying menus ranging from fine-dining and international cuisine to mouth-watering local fare and decadent cocktails mixed with our world-famous Mount Gay Rum.

There is also a wide range of attractions which will appeal to the adventurous when the conference is not in session.

Barbados provides its visitors with a unique flavour of style and comfort.  We’re waiting to welcome you.
